Week 8

Hello! I’m back here writing week notes again because I love reading other peoples and I want to get better at it too.

I’ve been particularly inspired by Robin Sloan’s recent blogging and also Matt Webb’s post about his blog being 25 years old!

I’m a zwiftee now

I recently borrowed a friend’s turbo trainer and I’m six weeks into giving Zwift a go. I wouldn’t call it enjoyable but it doing wonders for my fitness. Soon the mornings will be light (and warm) enough to resume my 6am rides but in the meantime it’s really satisfying to know I’m getting fitter.

I’ve still been tinkering a lot with gif.land, I’m finding it really rewarding. I’ve not used Cloudflare’s APIs much before and it’s all so easy to use and well documented.

I’ve added info pages for each gif — I mainly did it just so I could make them go full screen which is silly but fun. I even got to use CSS blend mode stuff which is fun in a it’s 2004 and I’ve just discovered photoshop blend modes.

Sunshine on a Saturday

We got lucky with some incredible weather - and we’d planned to do a big walk with friends along the Pembrokeshire coastal path which was amazing.
